Least Expensive FL Auto Insurance Rates

Florida State Insurance Minimums

  • Bodily Injury Liability: $10,000/$20,000 Limit
  • Property Damage Liability: $10,000 Limit

The state of Florida complies with a No-Fault insurance system implying your auto insurance company will cover the costs for your claims no matter who’s at fault, up to a specific limit. Since neither party is found to be at fault, you wind up losing a few of your rights to sue with a no-fault system. The specific details of this type of legal system can be different for different states, but the overall conception is identical.

Personal Injury Protection (PIP) covers the costs incurred for all those involved in an accident. Florida has required minimums that each motorist is required to have under state law. For all people involved, the limit is $20,000 and $10,000 is the requirement for one person involved. These are only state level directed minimums and each driver should inspect their own situation to see how much auto insurance coverage is fitting for you.

To stay financially protected on the chance that you are in an accident with somebody who either does not currently hold an auto insurance policy or doesn’t have sufficient insurance to cover related damages, you should consider adding Uninsured Motorist Bodily Injury insurance coverage to your Florida auto insurance policy coverage. You’re not asked by law to have this specific type of insurance, but it is recommended in order to remain financially protected in the event that you are in an accident with an uninsured and/or underinsured motorist.

The average insurance premium for Florida residents was $1,104 in 2003; the United States average was $914. There are some people in Florida that wrongly believe the state and auto insurers determine the rates, so they never look for decreased rates. Insurance companies group their rates differently so everyone’s rate will be different with each company. You need to watch to find out if you are getting the best rates or overpaying. One way of getting cheaper insurance is to visit auto insurance comparison sites. These sites will permit you quickly get and go over price quotes from several auto insurance firms.

In 2007, there was an average reduction of .5%-1% from the year 2006. This was the first drop in auto insurance costs since 1999. However, these decreases were temporary as in 2008 and 2009, insurance rates once again started to rise. Unless you’re on a regular basis seeking the cheapest auto insurance quotes, you’re more times than not spending too much. Every year, you should be comparing auto insurance rate quotes on the web or contact a licensed agent.. You possibly might be able to acquire lower rate quotes at another insurance firm and/or find that you’re eligible for select insurance programs.

Writing is an Art Form

Thursday, April 30th, 2009

Every day, I have to contemplate my lengthening career as a writer. I used to also be an artist, back before I became physically disabled in 1998, and regularly drew pictures in pen and ink. I was thinking of transferring over to some computer pad-style drawing technology so I could create graphics and artwork on the computer directly. But since becoming what they call “physically challenged,” I have a hard time with drawing. It’s easier just to type, edit or otherwise work with a keyboard. And I have an over twenty year long career as a writer and editor to draw from as I continue to write every day.

It fascinates me as a ghost writer and an editor the many subject areas that my clients are willing to create books about. One will want to write his or her life story, such as the author who approached me recently regarding his life story as a transgenderal person. He changed from female to male, and he is now married and a father of two children, not his own, as the surgery doesn’t yet allow transgenderal persons to procreate. Another will want to write a children’s fantasy chapter book, an adult science fiction dark fantasy warehouse party series of books, a how to book on beauty and fashion, a book about the Nazis and a Jewish uprising against them, a book by a former Nazi who wants to tell us about what it was like being forced into the party…etc., etc., etc. There is no limit to the types of subjects my authors, many of whom are putting out their very first books, will want to write about.

Some are the type of book which may or may not sell all that well, while others are almost a guaranteed best seller, having a crowd of buyers ready to purchase the books. I almost prefer working with the first group of authors, even though their books don’t pay as much money as my more lucrative authors’ books do. It warms my soul to support first timers who have an interesting and valuable story to put out before the reading public. I usually only charge $5000 for people like these to ghost write their books for them. But when it comes to a potentially lucrative book, I charge a percentage of what the author makes over time from the book sales. These types of books are the “coffee table” type you have heard of, such as a book by the gentleman who took the nude photos of the “other woman” in an infamous murder case. They sell well, but the material in them is often only timely or flashy, and immaterial over time as earnest literature. I much prefer working for people who have books in their souls that contain stories worth the telling, more so than the stories worth money to a flashy author with a coffee table book.

I make enough money at my regular writing projects to support my habit of preferring to work with the first time author crowd. Some of those people’s books do sell well over time, and it’s worth it to me to put the time and effort into ghost writing or editing them that it takes to really polish their work to a gleaming shine and make it productive and meaningful as timeless literature or educational material. This means more to me than a large check paid for the type of book I truly hate to see my name associated with, and I feel very proud to have more of the first timers’ works on my record than those. I guess in the end it’s a tradeoff: timeless creation of worthy literature versus timely production of flashy, self-gratifying stuff that may not make me feel good to write it. Not that I don’t regularly take on that kind of project. I need those books to get by and make money. But it always gladdens me when I can write something that really makes the author feel like he or she has produced a very fine book, and which is something that will truly lend credit and greater credence to my professional name and career as a writer.

I think it lends the greatest justice to my lengthening writing and editing career to help people get out the work that holds the most promise over time, not the most best selling work that is only timely and lucrative and which will soon gather only dust somewhere. Writing is an art form, not a mass market for producing coffee table books that sell.

Ironwill: The Ironman Challenge

Thursday, April 30th, 2009

Somehow, in their wisdom, or by a twist of fate, the friends who first envisioned the ironman came up with the perfect combination.

Its perfect because to complete the course requires a combination of ability, desire, self-confidence and courage. Yet at the same time it is within the grasp of so many people around the world who are willing to accept the challenge when they are seduced by the call of the Ironman. Or, “Ironstruck”.

It just never ceases to amaze me when you hear stories of the obstacles people have overcome in order to take up the Ironman challenge.

The Ironman is not easy. There is no guarantee that you will finish. In a race of this complexity, there are just so many things that can go wrong. In any given Ironman race, somewhere around 5-7% of starters will not reach the finish. Sometimes more depending on raceday conditions.

Personally, I’ve experienced both ends of the spectrum. There are a few races I never finished and found myself in that 5-7%. Injuries and once even food poisoning meant my day finished early. I’ve also had races that I will remember forever and everything just seemed to go right.

You can be an age-grouper or a pro–regardless, the Ironman distance will test you. After all, if it were easy, reaching that elusive, far-off finish line would not be quite so rewarding and fulfilling.

Its just so remarkable how individuals will take up the Ironman challenge despite dealing with handicaps that seem to suggest the Ironman finish line is simply not attainable.

Yet, year after year the Ironman is the venue for amazing acts of courage. Amputees, visually impaired, and even people who have endured severe illness and been told they will never be physically active again have crossed the Ironman finish line.

The Ironman has been the catalyst for people to change the way they live on a daily basis. Many have overcome serious addictions, quit smoking, lost weight, and in many ways have a new lease on life. Reaching that finish line has a way of changing a person. By its very nature, it teaches us that obstacles in everyday life can be overcome with the right combination of courage and will.

Thats what makes the Ironman such a great event. Its so mentally and physically challenging and yet at the same time is within reach of such a wide spectrum of individuals who are willing to take up the challenge.

The Ironman just continues to grow year after year and there really is no end in sight. It must truly amaze the originators of this event who have watched it grow from such small beginnings into one of the worlds premier and most cherished endurance event.

Crucial Tips To Remember When Buying Cheap Lands At An Auction

Thursday, April 30th, 2009

Acquiring and selling properties on a public auction can be straightforward and advantageous for equally parties. Discover a public sale although is not a very simple process. More particulars in relation to the property offered on public sales can be published in the local and national press, or on most specialised web sites. Local property agencies often hold particulars of assets to sale by auction too. But a simple way of finding public sale is to take note of the contact numbers of any “Sale by Auction” sign posts.

There’s habitually a cost to be on the auctioneers emailing catalogue and for getting a directory with photographs and details with reference to the properties. Free directories are usually futile.

You’ve barely got a few weeks to know what’s coming on at sale, so act as soon as possible.

The variety of house most commonly auctioned are the one-offs that property agencies consider hard to appraise or to put up for sale, but that hold development potential.

Public auctions are also appealing for the repossession homes offered for sale by credit lenders, which habitually are bargain and have low reserve value. Beforehand the public sale pop in and have a glimpse at the property. Delve into the quarter and, essential, make plans for with your experts to proceed with the necessary research – like an official survey and a professional assessment.

It’s clever to set your resources, and very central, make plans for the funding to pay a deposit, commonly 10 per cent on the public auction day, and the remaining 90 percent in the following 28 days afterwards. If you are successful, you must pay in advance the ten % to the auctioneer there and the seller’s representative will guarantee the Memorandum of Agreement. Fines for failure to satisfy the approved figure are harsh.

Take into account that if you are outbid you will lose grand part of the money you have wasted on the investigation plus the legal costs, but it is a good idea informing the mediator of the total you can be equipped to invest for the special land that has been withdrawn; you never know, in particular cases the vendor might be enthusiastic to take your bid.

The public sale agreement is corresponding to swap of contracts in the standard sale by private pact. This also signifies that the purchaser can’t be gazumped and the trader does not have to be upset of last-minute cost renegotiations. Another solution to find good property deals is buying abroad; find property for sale in Bulgaria from owners, agents and developers.

Is Federer all Alone in his Style of Play? (Part II)

Sunday, April 26th, 2009

The apparent similarities of Roger Federer style of play to the older generations, which he himself admitts by calling his tennis “modern-retro tennis”, implicates the possibility that many players of the past e.g. Rod Laver, Lew Hoad, Ken Rosewall, Roy Emerson, John Newcombe , Ilie Nastase, John McEnroe, just to mention a few, would be a great challenge to many of today’s top hard hitting players.

To substantiate my theory, in Davis Cup around 1988(?) maybe later…an ailing unfit and “old” Victor Pecci, a much lesser player then the names above, demonstrated the vulnerabilities of a young Michael Chang and “modern tennis”. Later on Jim Grab mainly a doubles specialist did the same by neutralizing Chang with the soft slice and attacking with low slices down the line or up the center of the court. Basically humiliating Michael into losing to a guy with slow movement “soft” hands but with solid volleys.

This does not mean that today’s players are worthless or their games are stupid. Today’s top players are great like in any other era. The game changed tremendously; extreme grips, power, topspin, the cross-court percentage play and waist level bouncing balls became common place, nevertheless the challenge of a low slice ball, a good mix of attacks from a creative Roger Federer has just proven overwhelming to them.
Today’s coaches and aspiring players should definitely follow the lead from Roger Federer and adopt his game and refined tactics, it will make for a much more varied and challenging future breed of tennis players as well as far more exciting game to watch for the spectator’s.

Agassi in an interview about Federer, sheds some light on the challenges Federer’s all round game presents to baseliners and aggressive baseliners.

AA: “But, you know, with that being said, he hit an inside-out winner at 30-Love, 4-2 in the third set that found the line. He hit a few up the line. He hits that short chip, moves you forward, moves you back.
He uses your pace against you. If you take pace off, so that he can’t use your pace, he can step around and hurt you with the forehand. Just the amount of options he has to get around any particular stage of the match where maybe something’s out of sync is — seems to be endless.”

“You know, that’s my point, I was safe for a long time out there just hitting a dumpy second serve to the backhand and getting into the point. Then at any point he can decide, “Well, I want to make you worry about that.” He had the breeze on his back. He just stayed through that ball and hit it up the line.”

“You know, and then the next couple points, because he has — you know he’s going to step up, you have that little extra pressure to do a little bit more with the ball, to push it through the wind, and to get it deep because you don’t want to leave anything hanging against him on either wing. And, you know, you make a couple errors because you’re trying to play too good. And then just for good measure he did it at 6-1 in the tiebreaker.”

“So anything that you’re trying to execute out there only lasts for a period of time till he makes the adjustment. Then you have to change it. All the while, everything you’re planning on doing, you have to do well and you have to do it start to finish. So that’s, you know — you can only say it so many ways. You know, that’s too good.”

“Q. You said in order to beat him, something needs to be off. Was something off in his game at one point tonight?

AA: No. You just got to do it for a long time. I mean, you know, this is not — a match is a complicated thing. There are a lot of ebbs and flows in it. There’s a lot of — but ultimately, the person that brings the most the most amount of times, you know, is going to
win that. He just brings a lot all the time for all the options he has. And while there are periods that you can have him on the fence, his options when he’s on the fence is better than most, better than most.”

“You have to respect not just his abilities, but you also have to respect what goes into all the pieces that make him the factor he is, you know. I mean, and that’s the mindset. It is the focus. It is the,
you know, the knowing when to play, when not to play. It’s pulling out of tournaments as you prepare to peak for other tournaments. You know, he’s made a lot of good decisions, and he certainly is maximizing all the arsenal that he has. And I can’t say it surprises me because I don’t know him, but it certainly amazes me.”

Having read that, tennis is only a game and you are what you allow your opponent to do. Brad Gilbert was Boris (Boom-Boom) Becker black sheep and in the summer of 1989 (? correct me if I am wrong) he humilliated the tennis elite by beating almost every top ten player (winning 6 tournaments?) Edberg, Boris, etc. Without a powerful forehand, but with the ability to draw great players into his game, make them lose confidence in their shot making, raising their unforced error quota to unsustainable levels and producing some superb passing shots. Brad with very intelligent tactics, drew incredible wins from Great Champions that on paper were vastely better then him.

In the past there were a few players capable of doing the same to the very best of their era:

Ramanathan Krishnan (not to be confused with his son Ramesh), Willy Alvarez (famous Coach from the Sanchez boys), Corrado Barazutti and an infamous Zuleta just to name a few. These players made many of the very best look meek, despondent and frustrated in defeat.

Adjustments are being made by players and coaches that will make tennis ever more interesting. Basel Open 2005 gave me an insight on what’s to come and it looks as if in the future tennis will be a much more exciting and varied game.

Power is important but power is not all in tennis! Tennis is a game of skills, tactics/strategies, fitness, speed, intelligence, quick thinking, creativity, therefore opening the possibility for many of the players from the past to prevail on some surfaces and not on others against the likes of Federer, Sampras, Agassi, Courier, Nadal and many others.

Martina Navratilova, a great champion, epithomizes the ultimate learner of the game, once said:

“Why,” she was asked, “are you still doing this at 46?”
“Life. We’re lucky to be here. It’s about learning and our time is limited. I’m still learning, to do better, still studying strategy. I’m technically better now than I was in my heyday. You know I hit a shot against [Jana] Novotna at Wimbledon last year when I played. After the game she said: ‘What was that, I’ve never seen it before?’ I said I only learned to play it a few days ago. The key was the grip but you never stop learning the game. You have to have talent, but if you haven’t the heart to explore the talent it’s all a waste of time.”

….I almost forgot to say, Federer is not alone in his style of play, he is in very good company with the likes of: Rod Laver, Lew Hoad, Ken Rosewall, Roy Emerson, John Newcombe, Ilie Nastase, John McEnroe, Boris Becker, Stefan Edberg, Pete Sampras, Pancho Gonzales and many other greats!

Hope you are willing to develop your talent, enjoy “The Game”.

Soccer – Passionate And So Pleasurable

Sunday, April 26th, 2009

It seems quite appropriate to write something about soccer’s greatest event, the one now taking place in Germany from June through July, 2006. It is a culmination of four year’s work for the 32 teams that have qualified to play in this tournament.

We all know the effect soccer – or football – as I prefer to call it, has on the lives of so many people. You only have to see the television pictures of people who are lucky enough to be able to attend and even luckier, if they have tickets for the games they hope to see. Yes, it is a fact that many of the supporters visiting Germany this summer will not actually see a game, except on the public screens dotted around outside the stadiums in the country. So in that respect I guess those of us who will be watching intently on our televisions in the comfort of our own homes, will be better off. Or will we?

Judging by some of the pictures coming from the tournament, it appears that these folk at the venues seem very happy just to be there just to soak up the tournament atmosphere. I remember as a younger man being lucky enough to attend a World Cup tournament myself. I will explain if I may.

I was 21 years old and living in England at the time. I followed my local football team with a great deal of pride and attended a couple of the preliminary matches at my team’s stadium before the “business end” of the tournament got underway.

Imagine my joy when I found for a 21st birthday gift, I was given accommodation in London and tickets for the quarter-final, semi-final and World Cup final itself. I was absolutely flabbergasted. You can also image my happiness when my home country actually won the trophy in front of its home crowd. What a day!

Yet, of all the memories of that sunny Saturday in July 1966, the soccer oddly became only part of my thrill. Sure, it was wonderful to cheer the team to victory, but my memories still linger to the day itself. Not so much the game, more the friendship of everyone in the stadium. Folk from different countries all there for one reason – to see the spectacle of a worldwide sporting event. The sport in the past has been criticised for encouraging violence from the “hooligan element” within society and I am not going to discuss that here.

But this event, now in 2006 in common with 1966 and all between, encourages friendship. This I have found from my own personal experiences, certainly exists. My own lasting memory of my lucky visit to the soccer World Cup final was to be walking down the street outside that London stadium, with three other people I had never met before or since – from Belgium, Holland and Portugal, singing at the top of my voice. If you were to ask me why we did that, I could in all honesty not answer, save for happiness and a little euphoria with the occasion.

It is something I remember with a great deal of affection from my early life, totally attributed in my opinion to the wonderful sport of Soccer.

Soccer Betting – An Introduction

Sunday, April 19th, 2009

Lawmakers have been thus penned down to make tough new measures to crack down on corruption in sports related betting. Bets are placed on individual player’s performances, the winning team, scores in the game, etc.

Technology aids available

Today you can bet on the Internet, at casinos, through national lottery and also on cell phones. Growth of Internet betting exchanges has made sports more vulnerable to fraud and match fixing. Now betting is done with the help of GPRS technology, which is a more faster and reliable way for account holders to place their bets. Users are charged for the volume of data rather than the time spent using the service. But the police are now resorting to the use of electronic surveillance techniques to track down the alleged racket.

Advantages over other sports

Precisely betting on a football game has been an extremely popular form of winning big money for years, producing far better prize money amounts for relatively low stake money. Today a punt on the football pools or spot the ball for a quid could win you thousands upon thousands. A bet on a horse cannot produce the same odds. This is perhaps a clue to the nature of betting on a football. Complete change in the lifestyle for a stake that he can afford to loose and demand for no work in return is what allures an aspiring punter to football betting. This is the lure for many working class punters, both male and female regardless of their taste for football. Football betting is the most appropriate technique to make money for those who want to skip the hurdles and mushroom their profits without taking any pains.

Thus the lawmakers have called for various sports governing bodies to have a say in the type of bets offered to punters and to make bookmakers set up “audit-trails”, something the new betting exchanges already do, to allow suspicious betting patterns to be traced. Lawmakers have also called for the governing bodies of various sports to devise common standards on who may bet on their sport, types of bets that can be placed on the concerned sport and what the other logistics for placing a bet on their sport should be.

Golf Flexibility Is A Key Component For Senior Golfers

Saturday, April 18th, 2009

Golf flexibility is a common term among senior golfers. Most senior golfers know they have a declining level of golf flexibility and distance. But why then do most of them not participate in a golf flexibility program?

If you are in this group of golfers, do you walk off the course frustrated with your performance? Are you dissatisfied with your driving distance? Do you seem to have a hard time repeating a good swing for 18 holes?

The answer is right in front of you!

It is a known fact to hit the ball maximum yardage you need a certain level of golf flexibility that will generate clubhead speed and power at impact. This level is such that a golfer can rotate approximately 90 degrees with his upper body, and only 45 degrees with his lower body creating the “x-factor” for top level distances.

It is impossible to do this at a certain age unless you maintain a consistent golf flexibility routine in your daily activities. Muscles that are not used (and/or stretched) lose elasticity and the ability to produce power.

Along with this loss of elasticity is a rapid decline in strength. The results are subpar performances and a lower level of enjoyment of the game. This is why we see so many golfers quitting the game.

Golf flexibility doesn’t have to be a complicated issue. You don’t need fancy, expensive equipment to do an effective routine that will produce the results you want. But you do have to be aware of your specific limitations and what areas you should focus on to maximum your time investment.

Doing a golf fitness evaluation to determine your weak areas is crucial. You’ve got to have some idea of what is keeping you from a better game. Once you determine your personal limitations, you can do some simple golf flexibility exercises to greatly improve this situation.

It’s amazing to see how quickly the senior golfer can see improvement. I’ve seen some dramatic numbers with the golfers of my membership site and customers of my dvds and manual. The emails I receive are so motivating; I ask permission to insert them on my websites as success stories.

The human body is a machine! Treat it nicely and it will do what you want. Mistreat it and the result is ugly. The “use-it-or-lose-it” phrase is a good one. That is exactly how the body responds. With stimulus (exercise) the body responds positively. Without it the decline is rapid.

If you’re a senior golfer, participate regularly in a program of golf flexibility.

Graduation Diplomas For All

Graduation Stoles

Graduation stoles resemble sashes and are worn on the neck for aesthetic purposes. Initially the stoles which are also referred to as sashes, were also used by clergy and church choirs. In more recent times they have been used in ceremonies such as beauty pageants to identify the beauty queens country of origin and their position in the beauty contests.

Traditionally stoles have been part of the regalia worn during graduation ceremonies. They are also known as honor sashes or honor stoles and are worn over the graduation gowns. They are available in many colors and can be plain or embroidered. In addition one can find graduation stoles
that are made with different trims or personalize them to their liking. For instance, one can digitize a college logo onto the stole. The stole can also be imprinted to suit the needs of the graduate.

The graduation stoles are found in different sizes and styles so that students graduating from pre-school can also get stoles that fit them. For instance one can find stoles for children of approximately 57 inches long. The stoles are made from materials such as satin or silk. One can also get one that is made from ethnic cloth.
